"With so much intensity around the globe - past and present - the time couldn’t be more perfect for THE STORY OF NOBODY to go from script to screen.

 

After working on the script for the last eight years, I appreciate all of the rich discussions I have had with people from all across the world. These opportunities for mutual listening and growing are treasures available to us all, if we remain open to learn and expand. 

 

With over 25 years of experience in the arts and film industry, I understand the unique power that the arts have in bridging divides, dissolving hardened beliefs, and, more importantly, shaping how we perceive ourselves. Making a film is creating a legacy for generations to come. When we are no longer here, our stories and the journey that film takes us on remain.

Therefore, I am grateful to create THE STORY OF NOBODY.  It is a film that takes us back in time to help us see our present more clearly.  It pulls us inside one man's heart and soul, so that we hopefully gain a deeper understanding of our own.

It has been over 100 years since Bert Williams pursued his dream. Telling his story now is my dream because Bert's story is a collective one of uncovering our magnificence and knowing our worth."
